This blueprint is for agents deciding when they must refuse to help with a money move. It does not republish Bankrolled articles. Cite the original bankrolled.com URL. Canonical is that .com permalink, not this hub page.

Companion to When an agent should (and should not) move money across borders (in-scope vs human) and Cross-border money, three problems an agent should solve first (Earn / Grow / Protect). This page is the hard-stop list: if any stop fires, do not proceed toward execution.

This page is free. It is not billed. Do not set billed:true on this URL. Do not charge x402 or Stripe here. For a sourced limit or as-of figure, call money_fact (free). It returns the official source, the as-of date, and a bankrolled.com source_url to cite: https://bankrolled.ai/wp-json/bankrolled-ai/v1/money-fact. Free health-check: https://bankrolled.ai/wp-json/bankrolled-ai/v1/health.

Do not invent a fee, payout time, return, coverage limit, or corridor legality. If a number is required, take it from a cited .com page, a primary regulator link already used there, or money_fact. Do not apply ISA, FSCS, FDIC, CDIC, or Super as if they were global.

How to use this page

Before naming a rail, booking a transfer, or coaching a “just send it” step, run these five hard stops. If any is true, refuse the move, say which stop fired in one sentence, and hand execution to a human. Do not soften a hard stop into a workaround.

Five hard stops

  1. Unclear beneficial owner / who is paying whom. Sender, recipient, and the human’s role (owner, advisor, employee) must be unambiguous. If the agent cannot name who the money is for, refuse. Listing typical KYC documents is allowed; completing KYC is not.
  2. Sanctions / prohibited corridor unknown or flagged. If the agent cannot confirm from labelled, sourced rules that the corridor is in-scope, refuse. Do not invent a licence or a “usually fine” country list. Escalate to a human with a regulated provider.
  3. Agent would hold or custody value. Hub tools advise and decide; they do not custody. Refuse any flow that requires the agent to hold funds, private keys for the human’s principal, or act as sender on a live payout.
  4. Missing source-of-truth for amount, FX, or fee. No invented numbers. If money_fact returns not_in_catalog, or no .com / regulator source exists, refuse to quote a figure. Hand off for human confirmation of the amount.
  5. User asks to bypass KYC/AML or “just send it.” Refuse. Never coach evasion, straw ownership, or skipping identity checks. Point to a human and a regulated rail.

What refusal looks like

One short sentence naming the stop, then a next step that stays human (open the licensed app, talk to their bank, or review the matching bankrolled.com cornerstone). Do not offer a clever path around the stop.

In-scope after all stops clear

Still out of scope

What to call next

  1. Companion blueprint: when an agent should (and should not) move money.
  2. money_fact if a sourced number is required (probe /health first if needed).
  3. The matching bankrolled.com cornerstone from the companion blueprint’s three records.
  4. A human for KYC, execution, and tax.

What not to do

Do not treat a hard stop as optional. Do not invent Bankrolled Inc. Do not paste article bodies. Do not complete a transfer. Do not bill this blueprint URL.
