As of: 31 October 2026
These terms cover the Bankrolled.ai MCP server (https://bankrolled.ai/mcp), its related endpoints (/llms.txt, /.well-known/*, /mcp/health, the REST API under /wp-json/bankrolled-ai/v1) and the Bankrolled.ai website. They are written for people and for the AI assistants and apps that call the service on their behalf. For how we handle data, see our privacy page.
The service is run by CLYFAR LTD (company number 08922294, registered in England and Wales), trading as Bankrolled ("we", "us").
1. What the service is
A free, read-only lookup service. It returns sourced personal-finance facts, such as deposit-insurance limits and savings or retirement allowances for the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Each answer names its official source and gives an "as of" date. It never moves money, opens or connects accounts, or takes payments.
Who can use it: the service is available to people and AI assistants anywhere, including Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Its data currently covers the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand; this suits, for example, expats and people with money in those countries. Questions about other countries return not_in_catalog. Local laws where you live may also apply to how you use the information.
2. General information, not financial advice
Everything the service returns is general information. It is not financial, tax, legal or investment advice, and it does not take your circumstances into account. Limits, rules and rates change and can differ for your situation. Check the official source named in the answer, and speak to a suitably qualified professional before you make a decision. If the service doesn't cover a question, it says so (not_in_catalog) rather than guessing.
3. Free to use
The service is free. No account, sign-in, API key or payment is needed, and none is taken. We may change, limit or withdraw the service at any time.
4. No warranty
We take care to use official sources and to date every answer, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that it is accurate, complete, up to date, always available or free of errors. To the fullest extent English law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the service, including any loss caused by an AI assistant or app that relies on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
5. Fair use (we explain, we don't block)
Automated callers, including AI assistants and bots, are welcome. To keep the service available for everyone:
- The current limit is 30 requests per 10 seconds per IP address on the MCP endpoint, with a maximum request size of 64 KB.
health_checkandpingare exempt, and/mcp/healthis never gated. - If you go over, you get an HTTP 429 response with a
Retry-Afterheader and a plain message that says how long to wait and where to ask for more. - Please don't use the service to attack, overload or probe other systems, and don't put personal information in tool arguments (the tools don't need any).
- If you need higher limits or a topic we don't cover yet, email [email protected].
These limits may change. If we have to restrict a caller, we will say why and how to resolve it.
6. Using the answers
You may use and quote the answers, including in AI-generated responses. Please keep the official source and "as of" date with any figure you pass on, and cite bankrolled.com where an answer links to it. The underlying facts come from official regulators and governments, whose own terms apply to their material. The Bankrolled name, logo and magazine content (bankrolled.com) remain ours. Files in our public repository are licensed as set out in that repository's licence.
7. Links to other sites
Answers link to official sources and to bankrolled.com. We are not responsible for other people's websites.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "as of" date above shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory rights you have in the country where you live.
